How Much Does Disability Pay?

The amount you receive depends on several factors, like your work historyand which program you qualify for:

SSDI (Social Security Disability Insurance):

Most people receive between $800–$1,800/month, with a maximum of about $3,600/month.

SSI (Supplemental Security Income):

If you have limited work history or low income, the federal max is $943/month(as of 2024), plus possible state benefits.

The sooner you apply and get approved, the sooner your payments can begin—including potential back pay.
